About

An Exploration of form and texture.

Chloe Lennon creates work that delves into the intricate relationship between man-made/industrial environments and the natural world. Her work aims to express the striking contrasts that exist between these two realms while inviting contemplation on humanity's transformative role in nature.

Capturing the essence of a delicate balance disrupted, her works embody the notion of both aesthetic and ecological disharmony. The ceramic sculptures juxtapose organic elements from nature with rigid structures inspired by human industry, focusing on the divergent materiality and complex textures of these forms.

Meet the maker

I grew up in the midlands of rural Ireland near Athlone town. In 2016 I graduated from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin with a BA (hons) specialising in ceramics. After this I moved to London where I worked in the studio of porcelain installation artist Valéria Nascimento for 4 years. In early 2021 I set up my own ceramic studio at home in rural Ireland.
